This is a piece of junk 1/23/2013
Bought this unit in Sep 2012, finally got it setup in Dec. First time I used it, the neighbor came over and asked if I was doing some kind of construction. I live in a townhouse and the wall between the units are pretty thick, and I rarely hear anything from the next unit. I was really shocked how much noise this thing makes.
After a few days, I noised that something was loose inside the magnet unit. I took the cover off and found the screw and the plastic wheel has fallen off. I put it back on. This lasted another week, and something is loose and make the turning wheel stuck again.
I contacted the vendor and they politely told me that it's covered under warranty, but I will need to ship back the defective unit. Look at the weight and size, it would probably cause around $50 to send by UPS. I decided to throw it out and get another unit.
Don't waste your money and energy with this junk. Find something that can last more than a month.

Great Product 1/1/2013
Great Product works well if once you get it setup up. Will be using it alot.
Good Product, but VERY LOUD! 12/26/2012
Chester from Berlin, NH
As other people have said, this thing is loud with mountain bike tires. I like to watch TV while I ride and even with the TV extremely loud , I can barely hear it. Otherwise, it's very easy to set up and use. I'm getting more use out my bike now than I ever got on the street/trails!
Good indoor choice 12/20/2012

Nice Trainer 12/14/2012
Very good for indoor training or exercise. Resistance is decent enough. Sound is little louder when cycling fast on higher gears but similar or less than a treadmill, with tv/speakers its not so much.
Winter Training 11/16/2012
Great for those long winter days when the cold and snow prevent an outdoor ride or any other time when you don't feel like going out.
Inexpensive trainer 11/2/2012
It comes with the trainer and a rear pin for your rear wheel so it fits onto the trainer. It's quiet until you start twisting the rear nob more against the rear wheel for added friction. There is no other way to adjust the friction other then shifting gears.
Bike trainer 11/2/2012
Heavy duty, sturdy trainer that works well.
Works but loud 11/1/2012
John W. from West Covina, CA
The RAD Trainer was easy to set up, just put my bike on it and align the back tire bolts to the tire mount and tighten. The problem I had was with the sound of the magnetic resistance made, the faster you peddled the louder it became.
Decent indoor training on a budget 11/1/2012
For the price (~$65), this is a simple and easy way to get some cardio when the weather keeps you from riding on the road. The device was easy to setup and came with clear instructions. My only complaint is that the resistance is not really variable, which makes for a rather one-dimensional workout. Some have suggested changing gears to get more resistance, but even in the 'highest' gear I still felt like I could use more resistance to help vary the workout.
Good product 10/31/2012

Great Price 10/29/2012
All I can say is this was too good a price to pass up! The cheapest I had seen was 125.00. Haven used it yet, shipping was quick and so is the set-up!
Cycle trainer 10/29/2012
I have not used this item yet due to bike condition but appears to be durable and easy to use.

My Newly Acquired MAG Bike Trainer 10/25/2012
Fritz from Queens, NY
I chose the rating # 3 "Fair" for two reasons : a) I haven't been using the product long enough to know if I will experience buyer's remorse or not; and b) because I am unable to slide the Tightening Rod through my bike's rear wheel, as suggested. My bike does not have a quick release lever and does not allow me to make room for the Tightening Rod. Therefore, I am forced to rely on the regular bike's ends. The right side fits better than the left. Hopefully, the whole setup is safe.
Great product for the price! 10/25/2012

So far I'm satisfied with the price and product. We'll see how it holds up over time.
Its actually fairly good 10/17/2012
digitaltim from Ct
My previous trainer was a $300 fluid, but I sold it.......now 5 years later I decided to try this one, because its cheap and has ok reviews....
Its easy to set up and folds easily.
1st use I compared it to the fluid trainer which it obviously isn't. There is no adjustable resistance. The only change in resistance will be the gears on your bike. I was slightly woried about this initially. I've used it 3x now..I feel its adequate for an indoor bike work out. The resistance I get from just the bike gears is more than enough and most of the time I use a lower gear more than the highest. over all I'm very happy for the cost....
I switched out the rear tire from a MTB to a hybrid tread. The noise isn't as bad as I expected from reviews... it isn't any worse than the my previous $300 fluid...all the noise is generated from the tire itself.

I have not been able to use the personal bicycle trainer yet but am positively impressed by the form and apparent durability. All signs appear to indicate that this is a good product, including good English instructions with several photos.

RAD Trainer 9/20/2012
This trainer was very easy to set up, it took no more than 10 minutes. I like the wide base making it easy to get on and off the bike. I've not owned one before but this seems to be a solid product

Keeping Momma Happy 9/20/2012
My wife requested a trainer for Christmas and I spent to much time looking over reviews. By the time I finally made my decision I ended into the riding season. Now with Fall approaching my wife wanted to be able to ride so the time, product and reason came in play.
She is thrilled and spends her excercise time in front of the TV, the unit is quiet so both can be accomplished. She is happy that it is portable and can be stored before visitors come over. A win/win for me.

A basic trainer 8/26/2012
wes from Fargo, ND
I've seen variations of this trainer from several vendors. The differences are in the resistance device and the hardware to secure the bike rear axle. The resistance device here is adequate for simulating level riding though I have to run it fairly fast to get enough resistance. It is not loud. The axle shafts do not have a quick-release feature but they do have an extra pair of wingnuts to make sure that the bike axle is secure. I didn't use the included skewer because my bike has a solid rear axle, I made adapters to go between the axle and the metal cups on the trainer. It is sturdy enough, one just has to be careful when setting it up.

Excellent price for a great trainer
Excellent bike mount 8/24/2012
Paul from Boca Raton, FL
This mount works great and is easy to set up. It comes fully assembled, just follow the mounting instructions and you're set to go. I use it on the patio when the weather is uncooperative. On good days it only takes a minute to take the rear wheel off the mount and I'm ready to ride.
